Announcement: Hirozi Azuma and Qingfeng Yang joined our academic committee
We have the honor to announce the new members of our academic committee, including the Japanese philosopher and critic Hiroki Azuma and the Chinese philosopher of technology Qingfeng Yang.
Hiroki Azuma is a world-renowned thinker who has written on literature and technology, he is also the founder and the editor in chief of the magazine Genron. His books have been translated into many language, English translations include Otaku: Japan’s Database Animals (Minneapolis: University Of Minnesota Press, 2009), General Will 2.0 Rousseau, Freud, Google (New York: Vertical 2014)
Qingfeng Yang is head of the Department of Philosophy and Professor of Philosophy of Technology at the Shanghai University in China, member of 4S/EASST and the secretary-general of Shanghai Dialectics of Nature Association. His publications include Flying Albatross: Don Ihde’s Phenomenology of Technology (Beijing: China Social Sciences Press, 2015), Experience of Distance Reduction under Modern Technology (Beijing: China Social Sciences Press, 2011) and Introduction to Phenomenology of Technology (Shanghai: Sanlian Press, 2005). He was a visiting Scholar at the Dartmouth College, USA (2013-2014) and Swinburne University of Technology(2017).
